The major tattoo bravely for his client was done and he suggested an exquisite and beautiful design at the bottom of the tattoo in order to make the whole artwork aesthetically more significant. We took our time looking at several styles, finally coming to an agreement that this not only supported the main design but also creates great contrast with a harmonious look at the same time. This whole approach brought in a sense of cohesion and unity to the whole piece.

I worked with flowing lines and some geometric inclusions in order to create a pattern that would accent curves and angles of the main tattoo without overpowering it. As these geometric shapes were meant to ground the piece, the fluidity of the lines softened them in order to bring balance between the dynamic and structured elements. Every little detail put in line, the new elements created to give the impression of an extension of the original design only.

This new element brought a freshness to the tattoo and added grace and elegance. Modest but strong, this was a raise in level, which improved everything. After seeing the result, my client was very pleased with how much more complete and unique the pattern gave to the original concept and its final look.
